Getting Started with QTvoice

Welcome to QTvoice! This guide will walk you through setting up your professional phone system in about 20 minutes.

Setup Timeline

Total time: ~20 minutes after account setup

  • • Account verification and payment setup: 5 minutes
  • • Receive auto-setup email and download app: 3 minutes
  • • Configure Sangoma Connect app: 5 minutes
  • • Test calling and voicemail: 7 minutes

Account Setup and Verification

What You'll Need:

Valid credit card
Business email address
Proof of identity (driver's license, etc.)
Your smartphone (iOS or Android)

Process:

  1. Complete our online signup form with your business information
  2. Upload proof of identity document
  3. Add your credit card for billing
  4. Our team will verify your account (usually instant, max 2 hours)
  5. You'll receive a confirmation email once verified

Receive Your Auto-Setup Email

Important: Check your email (including spam folder)

After account verification, you'll receive an email containing:

  • Your virtual phone number
  • Login credentials for Sangoma Connect
  • Server configuration details (automatically configured)
  • Links to download the mobile app

Pro Tip: Save this email! It contains important information you might need for troubleshooting.

Download and Setup Sangoma Connect

Download the App:

iOS (iPhone/iPad)

Search "Sangoma Connect" in the App Store

Android

Search "Sangoma Connect" in Google Play Store

Configuration:

  1. Open the Sangoma Connect app
  2. Use the login credentials from your setup email
  3. The app will automatically configure server settings
  4. Allow microphone and notification permissions when prompted
  5. Your phone number and account will appear in the app

Test Your Service

Make a Test Call:

  • Use the app to call your personal cell phone
  • Verify the caller ID shows your new business number
  • Test call quality and volume levels
  • Try making a call to a landline or another mobile number

Test Incoming Calls:

  • Call your new QTvoice number from another phone
  • Ensure the app rings and you can answer
  • Test the audio quality in both directions

Success! If calls are working properly, your QTvoice system is ready to use.
